W. Volleyball Falls Short to Manhattan, 3-0

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team was defeated by Manhattan, 3-0, Wednesday night in nonconference action at Stratis Arena. The Knights fell 25-19, 25-14, 25-21 and drop to 1-20 overall on the season, while the Jaspers improve to 15-9 overall.

FDU was led on offense by freshman Alyssa McIvor (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo), who recorded 10 kills, and senior Taylor Roland-Buhol, who dished out 24 assists.

Defensively, junior Deborah Hong (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) registered 16 digs, while fellow classmate Hanifa Addi (Springdale, Md./Charles H. Flowers) constructed three block-assists at the net.

The Knights will return to action Saturday, Oct. 26 when they host first-place LIU Brooklyn for a 1 p.m. Northeast Conference contest at Stratis Arena.
