The Fairleigh Dickinson University softball team will begin the 2012 season with three games at Norfolk State on Saturday, Feb. 18.  The series was originally schedule for four games in two days but has been condensed due to impending rain.

The Knights will face Marist at 9:30 am on Saturday, before facing Norfolk State at 2:00 pm and Marist again at 4:00 pm.

FDU has kicked off the season at Norfolk State for the last two years.  In 2010, they finished with a 2-2 record on the weekend after defeated Norfolk State and Rider and dropping a pair of games to Iona.  In 2011, the Knights went 3-1 on the weekend with wins over Norfolk State, George Washington and Morgan State.

Following the Norfolk State series, the Knights will travel to Baltimore for the UMBC Retriever Classic.  The team will face Niagara, Coppin State and UMBC March 2-4.
