The Fairleigh Dickinson men's soccer team returns home after three-straight road contests as they will host Yale on Friday, Sept. 16, at 7:00 p.m. at University Stadium in Teaneck, NJ. The squad will then return to the road on Sunday, Sept. 18, when they travel to Long Island to take on Stony Brook at 5:00 p.m.
The Knights (3-1-0), who are off to their best start since 2006, are coming off a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory at Princeton last Friday night. With the scored tied at one in the extra period, junior
Jack McVey (Douglas, Isle of Man/St. Ninian’s ) drew a penalty in the box during the third minute of overtime and then sank the penalty kick to give FDU its second overtime victory of the season.

Jacob Lissek has only given up three goals in 372 minutes of action this season. Sophomores

Jonathan Gonzalez (Bloomfield, NJ/Bloomfield) and juniors
Antony Moore and McVey have each scored a goal this season to lead the Knights.
Yale (2-2-0) has split its first four matches this season. Both wins have come against NEC competition: 2-0 vs. Central Connecticut State and 3-2 vs. Quinnipiac. Both losses were on the road at Lehigh (1-0) and at St. John's (2-0). Yale has had five different players score a goal this season, while goalkeeper Bobby Thalman has made 25 saves in 360 minutes along with giving up five goals.
FDU leads the all-time series, 4-1, which dates back to 2003. The Knights have won two straight, including a 1-0 victory last season at Yale.
Stony Brook (1-2-1) plays NEC foe Sacred Heart on Thursday before hosting the Knights this Sunday. The Seawolves tied at Lehigh (0-0) to start their season and followed up with a 1-0 loss to Pittsburgh and a 1-1 tie at Duquesne in the Duquesne Invitational. Last weekend, Stony Brook went 1-1 at the Flash Gordon Invitational in High Point, NC, defeating host High Point, 3-1, before being blanked by Radford, 3-0. Four different players have scored for the Seawolves on the season, and goalie Stefan Manz has made 14 saves in 410 minutes, while allowing six goals and posting one shutout.
The Knights are a perfect 5-0-0 against the Seawolves in a series dating back to 1971. The last time the two squads met was in 2006 as the Knights won easily, 3-0.
After its pair of contests this weekend, FDU will have a week off before returning to the pitch to host Manhattan on Friday, Sept. 23. Kick-off at University Stadium is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
