Softball Match Up With Quinnipiac Rescheduled for Tuesday

The Fairleigh Dickinson University softball game scheduled for Saturday at Quinnipiac has been rescheduled for Tuesday Afternoon.  The Knights will resume Northeast Conference play in a double-header in Hamden, CT.  First pitch is slated for 3:00 pm.

The Knights (22-17, 6-8 NEC) were shut out by Fordham University on Thursday and will look to rebound with a win over the Bobcats (25-19, 9-4 NEC).  Caitlin Bradac (Garden Grove, CA/Garden Grove) has led the Knights in 39 games thus far.  She has averaged .359 at the plate this season with a .556 slugging percentage, four homeruns and 28 RBIs.  Bradac also leads the pitching staff with 10 wins on the season. 

The Bobcats are led by sophomore Alex Alba.  Alba has maintained a .320 batting average with 17 RBIs and two home-runs.  Freshman Jordan Paolucci leads the team in extra-base hits with 10 homeruns and a slugging percentage of .628. 

On the mound, the Bobcats average 2.37 earned runs per game.  Heather Schwartzburg leads the pitching staff with 17 wins in 29 appearances.  Schwartzburg has an ERA of 1.40. 

After the duel with the Bobcats, the Knights will travel to New York to take on Columbia in a non-conference, mid-week tilt on Thursday, April 28 before traveling to Emmitsburg, MD to face Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, April 30.
