Women's Basketball Heads to Sacred Heart For Final Regular Season Contest

­The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (14-14, 7-10 NEC) will look to end the regular season with a win as take travel to Fairfield, Connecticut to take on Sacred Heart University.  Tip-off against the Pioneers is scheduled for 7:00 pm.  The game will be webcast live on NortheastConference.TV. 

The Knights fell to Quinnipiac on Saturday, February 26, 56-75, but were met with good news as Mount St. Mary's and Wagner both fell Saturday night.  With the losses from MSM and Wagner, the Knights secured the eighth place ranking in the Northeast Conference and a trip to the NEC Tournament. 

Sacred Heart comes into the game with a 17-11 record on the season including 11 wins and six losses in conference.  The Pioneers are currently tied for third with Long Island, Robert Morris and Quinnipiac.

SHU most recently fell to Monmouth University, 54-59, on Saturday.

The Pioneers hold the vast advantage in the all-time series.  In 20 meetings since 1997, Sacred Heart has taken the win 19 times.  The Pioneers have won the last 15 contests including the most recent win on January 7, 65-39.
