The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (13-13, 6-9 NEC) will look to keep the momentum flowing as they take on Robert Morris University on Monday, February 21. Tip-off for the women's home finale is slated for 7:00 pm.
The Knights took down the Northeast Conference first-place team, St. Francis PA, 62-58, in their most recent contest on February 19. FDU's scoring effort was led by four double-digit scorers. Senior Alyssa Mayrose (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) scored 17 for the Knights, while junior Mariyah Laury (Orange, NJ/Orange) added 14. Senior Jordan Sykes (Avalon, NJ/Holy Spirit) recorded 13 points and red-shirt freshman Danielle Pankey (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) put up 10 points to lead the Knights to the win.
Robert Morris comes into the contest 13-12 on the season with a 10-5 record in the NEC. The Colonials have lost three consecutive games in the last 10 days including two against SFPA and most recently to Monmouth.
The Colonials have won 12 straight games against FDU, giving them a 28-20 advantage in the all-time series. The Knights are 13-11 in games played against RMU at the Rothman Center.
Prior to tip-off the Knights' four seniors, Tara Kelly (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central), Kayla Killian (Cliffwood Beach, NJ/St. John Vianney), Alyssa Mayrose (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) and Jordan Sykes (Avalon, NJ/Holy Spirit) will be honored.
