W. Basketball to Host Saint Peter's Tuesday

The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's basketball team will host Saint Peter's College on Tuesday, Nov. 28.  Tipoff at the Stratis Arena inside The Rothman Center in Hackensack, NJ is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

The Knights are coming off a 1-2 weekend at the UConn World Vision Classic.  FDU fell to #2 UConn and Dayton before defeating Buffalo, 63-54 on Sunday at Gampel Pavilion.

Senior Mariyah Laury (Orange, NJ/Orange) led the team with a season-high 28 points on Sunday, while freshman Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) added eight points in 11 minutes.  Laury's point total is the highest for any NEC player this season.

The Knights also out-rebounded the Bulls, 55-39 on Sunday.

Head Coach Stephanie DeWolfe's Peahens are 0-3 this season after falling to three Pennsylvania-based Patriot League teams: Bucknell, Lehigh and Lafayette.

The team is averaging 44.3 points per game with 10.7 of those points coming from sophomore guard, Aziza May.

Three players, Lauren Morris, Aviana Porter and Kristal Edwards are averaging 4.7 rebounds per game, while Jesika Holmes has grabbed 5.7 rebounds per game, leading the Peahens to 35.3 rebounds a contest.

Since 1978 the Peahens and Knights have faced each other 18 times.  The Peahens took the win in each of the first 16 matchups before FDU won in 2009 and 2010.

In 2010 the Knights came-from behind in a 69-63 victory at Saint Peter's in Jersey City.  Laury led the quad with 19 points, while the team accumulated a 44.4 shooting percentage to extend their win streak to three games.  The Knights eventually went on to compile a six-game win streak.

Following the home-game the Knights will begin Northeast Conference action with a Western Pennsylvania road trip to Saint Francis PA and Robert Morris.
