The Fairleigh Dickinson University softball team lost a close 8-7 game to Brown in eight innings before falling to Army, 14-0, to end competition at the Rebel Spring Games, hosted in Kissimmee, FL.
In the first game against Brown, the game went into extra innings after Brown came back to tie it up in the bottom of the seventh. "Maire [Shaughnessy] pitched well and we hit the ball well," said Head Coach Dale Martin. "This was a much better game and I was happy to see the improvement."
The Knights open conference play on Saturday, March 27 at Robert Morris in Moon Township, PA before playing at Saint Francis PA in Loretto, PA on Sunday, March 28.
