The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team dropped its fifth-straight decision Monday night as second-place Robert Morris defeated the Knights, 3-0, in a Northeast Conference match at Stratis Arena in Hackensack, NJ. RMU won by scores of 25-8, 25-15 and 25-22. With the victory, the Colonials improve to 13-16 (10-2 NEC) on the season, while the Knights fall to 10-17 (4-7 NEC) overall.
Sophomore Meaghan Wheeler (Chatsworth, CA/Chaminade College Prep) (Chatsworth, CA/Chaminade College Prep) led the Knights with 10 kills. Junior Sarah Willey (Abingdon, MD/Bel Air) (Abingdon, MD/Bel Air) dished out 20 assists, while junior Kelsey Semler (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) recorded 14 digs on defense.
The Knights return to action on Saturday, November 6, as they host Central Connecticut State in a Northeast Conference tilt. First-serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Stratis Arena in Hackensack.
