The Fairleigh
Dickinson women's volleyball team was defeated, 3-0, Saturday evening by Bryant
in Smithfield, RI.  The home team won by
scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 25-15.  With
the victory the Bulldogs improve to 14-9 (2-3 NEC) on the season, while the
Knights fall to 8-13 (3-3 NEC) overall.
 
Sophomores Meaghan Wheeler (Chatsworth, CA/Chaminade College Prep) and Violeta Slabakova (Shelby Township, Mich./Utica) led the Knights with
nine kills.  Slabakova also had three
service aces, while junior Sarah Willey (Abingdon, MD/Bel Air)
dished out 20 assists.  Junior Kelsey Semler (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) had 17 digs on defense.
The Knights
return to action on Wednesday, October 13, as they host St. Francis (NY), a
team they have beaten twice this season. 
First-serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Stratis Arena in the Rothman
Center in Hackensack.
