The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team fell at Manhattan, 3-1, on Wednesday evening. The Knights are now 3-6.
The Knights fell in the first game, 25-16, and despite battling in the second game, dropped a close one, 25-23. The squad bounced back to take the third game by a large margin, 25-14, but lost the match in the final game by a score of 25-10.
Meaghan Wheeler recorded 16 kills to lead the team, along with one ace and eight digs. Kelsey Semler (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) added 16 digs, one kill and five aces and Sarah Willey (Abingdon, MD/Bel Air) tallied 34 assists, along with three kills, seven digs and three service aces.
The Knights are back in action at the Binghamton Tournament in Vestal, NY on Sept. 11-12.
