The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team won, 3-0, Wednesday, Nov. 7 versus the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Hackensack, NJ. Junior middle blocker Lauren Boothby (/Voorhees) (Glen Gardner, NJ/Voorhees) slammed a game-high 16 kills (.414 attack percentage), as the Knights improved to 14-14 overall.
FDU posted victories of 30-24, 30-20, and 30-22 over the Highlanders (12-21).
Senior middle blocker Rebecca Tenney (/Tabb) (Yorktown, VA/Tabb) notched 12 kills (.550 attack percentage), while junior outside hitter Megan Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Seabrook, MD/Elizabeth Seton) added 13 kills (.444 attack percentage).
Senior setter Ruth Levy (/Cary) (Cary, NC/Cary) compiled 30 assists and nine digs. Junior counterpart Karolina Kowalski (/North Arlington) (North Arlington, NJ/North Arlington) recorded 19 assists, six digs and four kills.
Sophomore outside hitter Ali Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Latham, MD/Elizabeth Seton) had 15 digs. Senior libero Lauren Lombardo (/Laurel) (New Castle, PA/Laurel) chipped-in seven digs. Boothby also registered seven digs and three blocks.
NJIT junior outside hitter Agnieszka Pregowska (Warsaw, Poland/Birdgewater-Raritan) and sophomore counterpart Katrina Hornstein (Duluth, MN/Marshall School) both tallied 11 kills. Sophomore setter Erica Schultz (Wildomar, CA/Louisiana Tech) went for 29 assists and seven digs.
Fairleigh Dickinson hosts Wagner College at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10. The afternoon marks Senior Day for four Knights.
