The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team took down Saint Francis University, 3-1, Sunday, Nov. 4 in Loretto, PA. The victory improved the Knights to 4-3 in the Northeast Conference and 13-14 overall and marked Head Coach Stacey Recanati's 200th career win.
Sophomore outside hitter Ali Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Latham, MD) tallied a double-double of 14 kills and 10 digs. Senior middle blocker Rebecca Tenney (/Tabb) (Yorktown, VA) slammed a team-high 18 kills (.484 attack percentage) and notched six block assists.
FDU lost the first game, 30-23, to the Red Flash (10-20 overall, 4-3 NEC). However, Recanati's squad bounced back to take the ensuing three games, 30-21, 34-32 and 30-20.
Junior middle blocker Lauren Boothby (/Voorhees) (Glen Gardner, NJ) finished with a double-double of 15 kills and 10 digs, in addition to her two block solos and three block assists. Junior outside hitter Megan Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Seabrook, MD) added eight kills and three block assists.
Senior setter Ruth Levy (/Cary) (Cary, NC) compiled 29 assists and eight digs. Junior counterpart Karolina Kowalski (/North Arlington) (North Arlington, NJ) registered 26 assists and eight digs.
The Knights host NJIT at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7 at the Rothman Center.
