Women's Volleyball

Women's Volleyball Bested By Robert Morris, 3-0

The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team lost to Robert Morris University, 3-0, Saturday, Nov. 3 in Moon Township, PA.  Junior setter Karolina Kowalski (/North Arlington) (North Arlington, NJ) notched a double-double of 16 assists and 10 digs, in addition to six kills, as the Knights fell to 12-14 overall and 3-3 in the Northeast Conference.

 

The Colonials (14-10, 4-2 NEC) collected wins of 30-22, 30-26, and 30-21.  Senior middle blocker Emily Wolthuis (Byron Central, MI) paced the home-standing squad with 16 kills (.412 attack percentage) and 11 digs

 

Fairleigh Dickinson junior middle blocker Lauren Boothby (/Voorhees) (Glen Gardner, NJ) registered eight kills and nine digs.  Senior libero Lauren Lombardo (/Laurel) (New Castle, PA) added 15 digs.

 

Senior setter Ruth Levy (/Cary) (Cary, NC) tallied 17 assists and seven digs.  Senior middle blocker Rebecca Tenney (/Tabb) (Yorktown, VA) had seven kills.

 

Junior outside hitter Megan Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Seabrook, MD) finished with six kills, while sophomore outside hitter Ali Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Latham, MD) chipped-in five kills.

 

FDU travels to Loretto, PA to contest Saint Francis University at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4.
