The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team topped Quinnipiac University, 3-0, Sunday, Oct. 21 in Hamden, CT. Junior setter Karolina Kowalski (/North Arlington) (North Arlington, NJ) led the Knights to 11-11 overall and 2-1 in the Northeast Conference, tallying 15 assists, eight kills, eight digs and six service aces.
FDU took three-straight games, 30-19, 30-14, and 30-12.
Junior middle blocker Lauren Boothby (/Voorhees) (Glen Gardner, NJ) recorded 10 kills, hitting .529. Junior outside hitter Megan Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Seabrook, MD) added nine kills (.381 hitting percentage), with senior middle blocker Rebecca Tenney (/Tabb) (Yorktown, VA) contributing eight kills.
Senior setter Ruth Levy (/Cary) (Cary, NC) registered 17 assists. Sophomore outside hitter Ali Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Latham, MD) notched five kills, while junior outside hitter Jennifer Brugger (/Centreville) (Clifton, VA) had five digs.
The Knights travel to Lawrenceville, NJ at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24 to take on Rider University.
