The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team improved to 4-1 on the year, following a 3-0 victory over Lehigh University at Leeman-Turner Arena Wednesday, Sept. 6. Junior outside hitter Elena Schmidt (/Nevada Union) (Nevada City, CA) led the Knights with her second-consecutive double-double, notching 14 kills and 10 digs.

Junior setter Ruth Levy (/Cary) (Cary, NC) also collected a double-double, tallying 13 assists and 17 digs, as FDU won the first two games 30-26, followed by a 30-24 victory over the Mountain Hawks (0-7).

Sophomore middle hitter Lauren Boothby (/Voorhees) (Glen Gardner, NJ) chipped in 10 kills and four block assists. Sophomore setter Karolina Kowalski (/North Arlington) (North Arlington, NJ) posted 10 assists and six digs.

The Knights play three matches at the Lafayette College Tournament, Sept 8-9, taking on the Leopards Friday evening at 6:00 p.m.
