The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team topped Providence College, 3-0, Saturday Sept. 30 at the University of Maryland ? Eastern Shore Comfort Inn Invitational. Three Knights collected hitting percentages above .500, while junior setter Ruth Levy (/Cary) (Cary, NC) posted her second double-double of the tournament with 17 assists and 10 digs, along with two aces.
Freshman outside hitter Ali Philbrick (/Elizabeth Seton) (Latham, MD) notched eight kills ? with no errors ? 10 digs and four service aces, en route to a .530 hitting percentage. Sophomore middle blocker Lauren Boothby (/Voorhees) (Glen Gardner, NJ) chipped in nine kills and three block assists.
Junior middle blocker Rebecca Tenney (/Tabb) (Yorktown, VA) paced the offense with a team-high .800 hitting percentage, good for nine kills, while adding two aces and two block assists. Senior outside hitter Kayla McLeod (/Watertown District) (Waterdown, Ontario) blasted 12 kills, posting a .667 hitting percentage, in addition to her four digs and two block assists.
