The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team defeated Howard University, 3-0, Friday, Sept. 20 in Princess Anne, MD. Junior setter Ruth Levy (/Cary) (Cary, NC) had a 22-assist, 15-dig performance to pace the Knights (9-6).
FDU overcame a 7-0 deficit in the first game to post a 30-22 victory. Head Coach Stacey Recanati's squad edged HU, 31-29 in game two, then put away the Bison (3-8) with a 30-22 win in the third game.
Sophomore middle blocker Lauren Boothby (/Voorhees) (Glen Gardner, NJ) led the offense with 15 kills, while junior middle blocker Rebecca Tenney (/Tabb) (Yorktown, VA) contributed 10 kills, en route to a .444 hitting percentage. Sophomore outside hitter Megan Philbrook (Seabrook, MD) chipped in 14 kills.

The Knights take on Providence College at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 in the first of two matches at the University of Maryland ? Eastern Shore Comfort Inn Classic. FDU also clashes with Delaware State at 1:00 p.m.
