HACKENSACK, NJ - The Fairleigh Dickinson University volleyball team improved to 2-5 in Northeast Conference play (12-20 overall) with a 3-0 (30-24, 30-17, 32-30) victory over conference rival Sacred Heart Sunday afternoon in the Rothman Center.
"I was very please by our performance today," said Knights' head coach Stacey Recanati. "This was an important victory."
Freshman Lauren Boothby (/Voorhees) (Glen Gardner, NY) led the Knights with a 10-kill performance over the three games for a .214 hitting percentage while sophomore Lauren Lombardo (/Laurel) (New Castle, PA) pick up 15 digs to spur the defensive effort.
Sacred Heart was led by Brenda Bailey and Christine Duffy, who each collected 11 kills on the match while Justina Bell was the only other player to record double figures in kills with 10.
The Knights return to action on Sunday, November 12 as they host Wagner at 1:00 in the Rothman Center in the final game of the regular season.
