TEANECK, NJ - The Fairleigh Dickinson University men's soccer team shutout visiting Mount St. Mary's, 2-0, for its first conference win of the season at University Stadium in Teaneck, NJ on Sunday afternoon. The Knights improve to 8-4-1 overall with a 1-3-0 mark in Northeast Conference action, while the Mountaineers fall to 3-6-3 and are handed their first NEC loss of the season, 2-1-1.

Freshman midfielder Alejandro Bedoya (Weston, FL) led the Knights' offense, scoring the game-winner and assisting on the insurance goal. Bedoya opened scoring 16 minutes into the game when he took a long pass from sophomore forward Yannick Rome (/Polyvalente Armand Racicot) Gosselin (St. Jean sur Richelieu) and dribbled down the center of the box, drawing out the goalie and punching the game-winner into the open net.

Thirteen minutes into the second half, Bedoya sent a diagonal pass across the box to freshman forward Pino Tubito (East Hanover, NJ), who dribbled around, lost his defender and blasted the insurance goal into the left side of the net, making the final 2-0.

The Knights out-shot the Mount, 13-7, while the Mount St. Mary's held the edge in corner kicks, 6-4.

"I thought we played well again today," said Head Coach Seth Roland. "It's nice to come away with the win."
