Senior Irina Dementyeva earned a pair of singles wins to go with two doubles victories last week. In the Knights’ 7-0 road win over Hofstra, the Moscow native took down the Pride’s Bianca Derrick, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles and teamed up with junior Anna Rapoport for a No. 1 doubles win.
The following match against NEC foe Bryant, Dementyeva stepped up to No. 3 singles and did not miss a beat with a 6-4, 6-0 win. Playing with fellow senior Elmine Botes, Dementyeva helped the Knights to an 8-5 No. 1 doubles win against Bryant.
