It has been the norm for Danielle McEwan and National No. 1 Fairleigh Dickinson since they started
the season in November, and it continued at the Northeast Conference Spring Meet. McEwan posted a conference-best 224.9 game average and her team won all nine traditional matches it contested over the course of what was the third, and final, regular season NEC meet on the 2011-12 schedule. McEwan was clearly locked in at Parkway Lanes, leaving only eight opens over a 90-frame sample and spearheading the Knights’ perfect 9-0 weekend record that allowed the team to secure its second straight NEC regular season title. McEwan opened the meet by firing a 277 game against No. 20 Saint Peter’s. The right-hander immediately followed by turning in a 259-pin performance against St. Francis (NY). Her 257 game helped the Knights to a first-day victory over No. 14 Kutztown, as well. On Sunday, McEwan shot a 232 against No. 12 New Jersey City and later came through in the clutch to deliver a victory over No. 19 Saint Francis (PA). In a match that came down to the anchor bowlers, McEwan filled her 10th frame to push FDU past the Flash by a one-pin margin. Throughout the course of the weekend, McEwan recorded a .614 strike percentage while filling 91.1 percent of frames bowled.
