Livermore Earns Third NEC Player of the Week Accolade

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball standout Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) was named Choice Hotels Northeast Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season, announced by the league on Tuesday.

In what has been a season full of phenomenal performances from Livermore, the Knights' sophomore center is coming off what is arguably her best two-game stretch yet. The second-year Knight averaged 29.5 points, 14.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.5 assists and 1.0 block per game, as FDU traveled through her native Keystone State.

The Nazareth Area High School product shot a sensational 63.4 percent from the floor over a two-game stretch, which started at Robert Morris and concluded at Saint Francis University. Over the two games, she made 26-of-38 (68.4 percent) two-point field goal attempts.

Livermore's 23 points, which came on 11-for-15 shooting from the field, and 11 rebounds were team-high marks in the Knights' 64-62 overtime victory over Robert Morris. FDU, which kept its NEC Tournament hopes alive by defeating the Colonials, was able to force an overtime session thanks to Livermore's game-tying jumper with 00:56 left in regulation.

Two days later, Livermore recorded her 21st double-double of the season, while setting the NEC's single-game scoring high at Saint Francis. FDU's center poured in 36 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.  The 6-foot-1 Livermore, who made 15-of-26 shots, dominated the Red Flash in the post. Her 11 offensive rebounds were more than the overall total of any SFU player.
