Trailing 20-15 in the first half, the Knights used a 10-1 run to take a 25-21 lead with 3:40 to go before halftime. The Bobcats then rallied to take a 28-26 lead and right before halftime, a deep three-pointer, with the shot clock at one, gave Quinnipiac all the momentum going into halftime.

Both teams shot 31 percent over the first 20 minutes and combined to go 6-of-22 from three-point range, with FDU going 2-for-10. The Knights outrebounded the Bobcats, 28-25, but turned the ball over nine times, while Quinnipiac committed four turnovers.

In the second half, the Bobcats jumped out to a 14-point lead at 49-35, with 10:09 remaining in the contest, and used a 15-0 run to take a commanding 64-35 lead, while scoring 21 points off 16 FDU second-half turnovers.

The Knights shot only 4-of-24 (0-of-7 three-pointers) in the second half and finished the game shooting 25.4 percent (15-of-59) and 2-of-17 from three-point range, while turning the ball over 25 times, leading to 29 Quinnipiac points. FDU pulled down a season-high 51 rebounds to win the battle on the glass, 51-44.

FDU held Quinnipiac to 32.8 percent (22-of-67) shooting from the field and 6-of-19 from behind the arc. However, the Knights forced only nine turnovers, scoring four points, and were outscored in the paint, 28-18.

Sophomore Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) led FDU with 10 points and 10 rebounds to pick up her 15th double-double of the season. Junior Desiree Crawford (Aurora, Ontario/Cardinal Carter Catholic) and sophomore Stephanie Isaacs (Fair Haven, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven) added eight and seven points, respectively.

Sophomore Amanda Andrades (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) grabbed six rebounds to tie a career high, while dishing out a team-high four assists and recording a team-best two steals. Fellow classmate Miah Register (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) also grabbed a career-high six rebounds, as well as senior Torrie Childs (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central).

“We played a very solid first half, having a lead with less than two minutes to go,” Head Coach Peter Cinella said. “They hit a big three to go into halftime and exploded in the second half. We have to do a better job of chasing down long rebounds and making hustle plays.”

Jasmine Martin led the Bobcats with 16 points, five rebounds and four steals. Camryn Warner added 15 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, while Felicia Barron chipped in 10 points, five assists, two blocks and two steals.

The Knights will return to action on Monday, Jan. 28 when they travel down the Garden State Parkway to take on in-state rival Monmouth in NEC play. Tipoff at the Multipurpose Activity Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.
