FDU track and field announced the hiring of Assistant Coach Errol Jeffrey on September 19, 2024.
Prior to FDU, Jeffrey spent time as an Assistant Track and Field Coach for Monroe College, first from 2014 to 2016, and then recently returned in 2023. During his tenure at Monroe, Jeffrey coached several NJCAA Championship Qualifiers. Jeffrey was also named the 2024 NJCAA Atlantic Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year.Â
As a student-athlete Jeffrey competed at Monmouth University. During his time in college, he was a four-time NEC Champion in the shot put, discus, and weight throw. Jeffrey was also a two-time IC4A Champion in shot put and weight throw. Jeffrey was also named a NCAA Division I All-American in the shot put in 2013.
Off the field, Jeffrey has served as a New York City corrections officer since 2016.
