Hodgman was promoted Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Training in August of 2021. He had previously served as the Head Athletic Trainer, earning that position on October 4, 2019 after five seasons as an assistant trainer for the Knights.

"We are very pleased to announce the promotion of Nick Hodgman to the position of Head Athletic Trainer," said Hurlbut. "Nick has done a terrific job of providing a high level of care to our student-athletes since his arrival at FDU in 2014. He has earned a great deal of respect and a high level of trust from our coaches and staff.  I very much look forward to working with Nick in this new role!"

In his current role at the University, Hodgman serves as the primary trainer for the men's basketball, men's soccer, cross country, fencing, bowling, and golf programs.

"First, I would like to thank Brad Hurlbut for giving me the opportunity to step into the Head Athletic Training position at Fairleigh Dickinson University," said Hodgman. "During the last five years, I've been lucky to work under some very dedicated athletic trainers at FDU and I plan on continuing with some of the protocols they have implemented, while also adding in some new ideas that I feel can take our student-athlete experience to the next level. I feel confident that this will be an exciting year to be a Knight!"

Hodgman arrived at FDU in 2014 after a stint with the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, Trenton Thunder. A 2013 graduate of William Paterson University, Hodgman is currently pursuing his MBA in Accounting at FDU.
