Danielle Zymkowitz enters her first season as assistant coach for the Fairleigh Dickinson University softball team.  Zymkowitz is a 2011 graduate of the University of Illinois where she was a two-time All American at second base.

The West Hills, Calif. Native was a four-year starter for the Illini and played in 210 contests from 2008-2011.

As a leadoff hitter, Zymkowitz batted a program-record .384 through four seasons by hitting 277 times in 721 plate appearances.  She also set the Illini record for hits (277), runs scored (202), stolen bases (91) and stolen base percentage (.858).

Zymkowitz was a National Fast Pitch Coaches’ Association All American in 2009 and 2011 and was a finalist for the 2011 Lowes’ Senior Class Award.  She earned Big 10 All-Conference accolades as a sophomore, junior and senior.

She is currently a member of the 2011 National Pro Fastpitch champion Chicago Bandits.
