Ashley Powell

Powell enters her third year at Fairleigh Dickinson.

She is in her first year working in the athletic department's facilities office after spending two seasons as an assistant softball coach for the Knights.

Prior to joining FDU, Powell spent two seasons at Division II Urbana University. There she worked with the short game and the outfielders. In 2014, the Blue Knights set a school record with 28 wins while finishing third in the Mountain East Conference after being picked ninth in the preseason poll. Powell started her coaching career in 2010 in Bradenton, Fla. where she spent time coaching outfielders and slap-hitters at the State College of Florida. Powell played her college ball at Wright State University where she had experience playing middle infield, outfield, and slap-hitting for the Raiders. In 2008, she graduated with her B.A. in Psychology.
