Christopher Papas

Chris Papas enters his first season on Seth Roland's staff as the Knights men's soccer graduate assistant in 2021-22.

Papas, a 2021 graduate of fellow Northeast Conference member Central Connecticut State, joins the coaching ranks following a four-year intercollegiate career with the Blue Devils under David Kelly and Shaun Green. At CCSU, Papas earned a Bachelor's in Exercise Science.

Prior to his time in New Britain, Papas attended Coventry High School in his home town of Coventry, Conn. where he won a Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) Class S state championship in 2016 after previously finishing as runner-up the year prior. He also spent time with club FSA Elite under head coach Mike Kulas.

A goalkeeper, Papas sent a school-record for clean sheets (no goals allowed in a match) and was the first to maintain zero goals allowed through an entire state tournament in his home state.

No stranger to working with goalies, Papas coached for CFC Valley working with their goalkeepers and also spent time with Keeperstop in West Hartford, Conn., working with U-8 to U-16 goalkeepers.

At FDU, Papas is working towards his Master's in Homeland and Cybersecurity Administration.
