END OF THE JOURNEY
Competing against UVa in the NCAA Tournament was a surreal experience. The tournament was unlike any other match we had played all season. The competition and talent was on a whole new level. Each member of the team went out there and did their best. We definitely learned a lot from this match, and everyone discovered what they needed to work on in order to improve and be able to compete at the next level.
This season was great for us, as it was one of the best in FDU’s history. We couldn’t have done it without the support of the Athletic Department. We would like to specifically thank Cathy and Gavin for being with us at the NCAAs and helping throughout the whole semester. We would also like to thank Professor Ben Freer for taking from his busy schedule to come out and help us with practice and matches and of course Coach Ira, Coach Buchman for their efforts in making this a championship team. Lastly, I would like to wish our seniors, Dom Hemy and Marco Jemersic, luck in their future, and thank them for being great role models and teammates.
As of now, we are going to practice hard this summer in order to come back stronger next season and improve on this year’s results.
