Biography

2012-13: Finished 19th out of 78 competitors in the sabre at the Temple Open (10/27/12)… Posted a 3-0 mark against the City College of New York at the Sacred Heart Invitational (11/11/12)… Went 2-0 as part of a 9-0 win for the sabre team over Lafayette during the Fairleigh Dickinson Invitational (11/30)... Reached the semifinals of the NIWFA Christmas Invitational, finishing in ninth place (12/2/12)... Helped the Knights take the silver medal at the NIWFA Championships in sabre (3/2/13)... Finished 14th in C-strip at the NIWFA Championships individually...

2011-12: Won 51 percent of her bouts and finished with a 14-13 record in first season for the Burgundy and Blue… In first competition for FDU at NJIT Invitational, went 3-3 (11/20/11)… Placed 11th in sabre at the Christmas Invitational (12/4/11)… Was a solid contributor for the Knights at the Northwestern Duals with an 11-4 record, including 3-0 against Detroit-Mercy (2/4-5/12)… 

Teaneck: Four-sport athlete who competed in fencing, crew, tennis and volleyball… Earned three varsity letters… Participated in fencing in final two seasons for Head Coach Pat Lawrence... Played third singles in tennis for two season under Head Coach Stephanie Baer... Picked up honorable mention for the Big Ten League...

Personal: Born April 6, 1993… Daughter of Robert and Patricia Heaney…  Older brother, William, is a senior at Fairleigh Dickinson… Father also went to FDU… Participating in the FDU Honors Program… Majoring in Nursing.
