2012 (Cross Country): Wrapped up a solid career by finishing second on the team in five out of six events… Ran the 8k in 28:44.21 to take home 67th in the Ted Owen Invitational (9/22)… Broke a personal record with a time of 26:48.86, which was the first sub-27 minute 8k of his career, to place sixth overall at the Highlander Classic (10/7)… Put together FDU’s second-best time at the CCSU Mini Meet, completing the 5k in 16:45.65 for 55th overall… In final event of the season, had third fastest career time in 27:08.70 at the Northeast Conference Championships (10/27)… 

2011 (Cross Country): Led the Knights in six of the seven events on the season… Posted a career-best time of 27:01.9 in the 8k at the UAlbany Invitational (10/15)… Claimed 46th place at the Northeast Conference Championships, crossing the finish line in 28:26.1 (10/29)… Ran the Knights’ fastest time of 33:25.2 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships 10k in Princess Anne, MD (11/12)…

At Chebisaas Boys: Ran six years of track... In 2004, placed third in the Divisional Championship... Earned Nandi Educational Training Centre Certificate...Received Secondary Education Certificate.

Personal: Born to Joseph Langat and Florence Langat on Nov. 20, 1988... Has two siblings, Enock and Naomi... Aunt, Helen Cherono, ran track at the Thika School for the Blind... Biochemistry major.
