NICHOLASVILLE, K.Y. – The FDU Knights completed play at the NCAA Lexington Regional on Wednesday afternoon. The team shot a program NCAA Regional best 916 over the three rounds. Their third round score of 297 also marked a program NCAA Regional best for a single round.
Continuing the theme of unprecedented low scores,
Anete Adul made some history herself. The graduate student posted scores of 77, 73, 70 for a total of 220. This is the lowest score shot by an FDU player at an NCAA Regional. Adul finished T30.
Kaitlyn You (77,78,77 - 232) finished 60
th.
Freshman
Michelle Yang bounced back from an opening round 90 to shoot 75 and 73 in rounds two and three. She finished at 238 which was placed her 62
nd.
Apichaya Chirakunakorn (81,84,87 – 242) finished T64.
Fiorella Franco Harder (80,78,85) finished T65.
As a team FDU improved every round. They posted scores of 315, 304, and 297 en route to making team history. The Knights finished 12
th.
The teams advancing to the NCAA National Championships are Florida State, Georgia Southern, Kansas State, USC and Vanderbilt. Florida State won the regional with an 849 (-15).
