BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The NEC revealed their 2024 Spring Academic and Commissioner's Honor Roll List on Monday afternoon. The Knights had 115 student-athletes in total earn the recognition.
In addition to this, the NEC also released their Spring Scholar-Athlete winners. FDU men's tennis senior
Arjun Sriram was selected as the 2024 Scholar-Athlete for men's tennis. The award is given annually to an individual student-athlete in each conference sponsored sport that excelled both academically and athletically.
Academically, the Bangalore, India native posted a 3.99 GPA in the spring semester in the computer science program at FDU. He finished his degree in May. On the court, Sriram was named first team All-NEC after putting together an 8-4 spring record. In the NEC, Sriram went 4-1.

"FDU senior
Arjun Sriram (Bengalore, India/Chrysalis) combined his outstanding academic achievements with a stellar year on the courts to win the men's tennis scholar-athlete award. Sriram was selected as an NEC all-star for the third straight year, upgrading to the All-NEC first team following two straight second team singles selections. Sriram finished 12-8 overall and 5-1 in NEC singles play, helping lead the Knights to the NEC semifinals. He went 6-4 in #1 flight play and his doubles partnership with
Andrew Nicolae produced a 7-3 mark at #3 doubles. Sriram, who hails from Bengalore, India, compiled a 38-24 overall singles record in his four years, including a 16-6 slate against NEC competition. Sporting a near-perfect 3.99 grade point average, the Computer Science major has earned a spot on the NEC Academic and Commissioner's Honor Roll in each of the last three years."

FDU is home to 21 NCAA Division I teams. Off the field, FDU student-athletes were recognized for their efforts in the community by winning the NEC Building Communities Award in both 2020 and 2024. In addition to recent championships, FDU holds five additional national championships, three in sport of women's fencing and two in women's bowling.
