Box Score 4 ANNAPOLIS, MD & WEST POINT, N.Y. - FDU men's tennis opened their fall season this past weekend at the Joe Hunt and Army Invitationals. The knights split up and traveled to Annapolis and West Point, beginning their year with a promising start.
Sophomore
Gryffin Minor had an impressive start at the Joe Hunt Invitational, combining 3 singles wins and 2 doubles victories with partner
Tauras Mickus. Partners
Arjun Sriram and
Asaf Schwartz had an undefeated doubles weekend, posting a 3-0 score including wins over partners from Farfield, Mary Washington and Saint Joseph's.
At the Army Invitational, sophomore transfer
Tyler Crook posted 3 single wins, including a super tiebreaker victory over Hofstra's Kaita Odani. Partners
Thomas Linley and
Joshua Oboniye finished the weekend with 2 double wins as well as 2 single wins each.
FDU looks ahead to the Lehigh Invitational beginning on Saturday, September 23 in Bethlehem, PA. The weekends events will take place at Lehigh in the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center and Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts beginning at 9 A.M.
