ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - Facing St. Thomas Aquinas in their spring season opener Saturday, the FDU men's tennis team fell 4-3 at the Match Point Tennis Center to begin the campaign 0-1 while the Spartans improved to 3-0 this spring.
In his return from injury, sophomore
Thomas Linley notched win number three on the year in his first match since September 17, moving to 3-1 in 2022-23. Linley would team-up with reigning Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year
Justas Trainauskas to log the Knights' only doubles win of the night with the duo defeating Don Vinz Lominoque and Tobias Fuerschuss, 6-3. St. Thomas Aquinas would take the overall doubles point by a 2-1 result.
FDU faces a quick turnaround as the Burgundy and Blue take-on Quinnipiac tomorrow, Sunday, February 5 at 6 p.m. in North Haven, Conn.
