PHILADELPHIA, PA. -The Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team (3-6, 0-0 NEC) dropped its match against the Temple Owls (4-3, 0-0 Big East), 5-2 at the Temple University Pavillion Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon.  

Doubles action kicked things off, as Temple's Louis Gorregues and Thibault Frumholz knocked off redshirt senior Niclas Pietsch and senior Mehdi Dhouib, 6-2. The Owls followed with a victory in the No. 3 spot as Hussein El Tawil, and Henrique Petiz defeated the Knights' freshmen Justas Trainauskas and Ethan Landsman. Sophomore Arjun Sriram and graduate student Moric Budinszky lost to Gregoire Barety and Jericho Grollman, 6-0. The doubles point was awarded to Temple.  

In singles action, Sriram took down Gorregues in two sets, 6-3, 6-2, to tie the match 1-1. Freshman Fernando Tardin dropped the second match to El Tawil in the No. 5 spot, 6-1, 6-3. Sophomore Aryan Manchanda fell short in the No. 6 spot, 6-3, 6-1. Thibault Frumholz clinched the match for Temple as he was victorious over Pietsch in the No. 4 spot, 6-4, 6-1. Trainauskas completed his battle with a win over Barety, 0-6, 6-2, 6-1, and Dhouib lost his match over Grwollman, 7-6 (6), 6-2.  

Up next, the Knights will travel to Queens, N.Y. to take on Queens College on Monday, March 21, at the Queens College Indoor Tennis Center.
