TEANECK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team continued its recent success, defeating the Peacocks of Saint Peter's on Friday evening 5-2. With the win, the Knights have won back-to-back matches.
In No. 5 singles, Miki Nobuzawa took the place of William Bourne, matching up with Sebastian Ferrer. Nobuzawa did not disappoint, dominating the match 6-0, 6-1.
In No. 4 singles, Moric Budinszky defeated Ignacio Tintore in straight sets 6-3, 7-5, while Niclas Pietsch was also victorious, coming out on top of Andres Jacome in the No. 1 spot 6-1, 7-6 (3).
The Burgundy and Blue took the doubles point after picking up two wins.
In No. 3 doubles, the duo of Maciej Autuch and William Bourne swept its opponents Ferrer and Khvorostian 6-0, while in No. 1 doubles, Pietsh and Andris Gudins edged out Sowinski and Tintore 6-4.
The Knights will look to continue its success, hosting NEC foe Wagner on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
