BOGOTA, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team fell just short on Saturday night, falling to NEC member Saint Francis U 4-3.
In No. 5 singles, Adam Chan defeated his opponent Samuel Miller in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
In No. 6 singles, William Bourne took the first set 6-2 from Jan Vit Suntar, then had enough momentum in him to execute and take the second set 7-6 (3).
In doubles, the Knights took all three matches to achieve the doubles point. Andris Gudins and Niclas Pietsch defeated its opponents Alec Dylan Foo-Kune and Suntar 6-4 at the No. 1 spot.
Then in No. 2 doubles, The Burgundy and Blue duo of Chan and Moric Budinszky soundly defeated the Red Flash duo of Garcia and Morkel 6-3.
Lastly, Bourne and Maciej Autuch took down Luna and Pinos 6-3 at the No. 3 spot.
The Knights will have a quick turnaround, as they are scheduled to face Saint Peter's on Monday, April 2 at home in a makeup game at 3:00 p.m.
