ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team returned to action, a day after winning its first match over Howard, the Knights dropped a contest to the Bulldogs of Butler 5-2, on Tuesday afternoon.
In No. 5 singles, Maciej Autuch tallied the lone singles win for the Knights, rallying to defeat Sam Sullivan in a three-setter. Sullivan won the first set, however Autuch delivered two strong sets to take the victory 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles, the Burgundy and Blue took the doubles point after a pair of wins. Niclas Pietsch and Moric Budinszky started things off in the No. 1 spot, taking a win over Mason Dragos and Aviv Ben Shabat 6-3. Then in No. 2, Adam Chan and Andris Gudins knocked off the duo from Butler 6-2.
Up next, the Knights will conclude its Sunshine State tomorrow, matching up against Southern Mississippi at 11:00 a.m.
