Series History: Army West Point holds a slight 5-4 edge in the all-time series and won the last meeting (61-40) in 2009, that contest was also played at Stratis Arena.  Army also earned a victory over the Knights during the 2008-09 season.  FDU's last victory in the series came in 2004 a 57-48 victory in January of that year.  The first meeting came back on January 20, 1969, a 78-43 victory for Army.
 
Last Time Out:  The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team cruised to a 111-70 victory over FDU Florham on Monday night at Stratis Arena.  The Knights (1-1) scored 68 first half points and led by 34 at the break.  The Knights used their size to dominate under the basket.  The Metro Campus outscored the Florham Campus 78-22 in the paint and held a 48-33 advantage on the boards.  The Metro bench also excelled totaling 52 points compared to 17 for Florham.  Leading the charge of the bench was freshman Mike Holloway (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick ) (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick) who notched a game-high 21 points.
 
Coach G on the FDU-Florham Game:  "We did what we had to do tonight.  We separated ourselves early from Florham and did a great job getting the ball to the rim.  I loved how we shared the ball and had six guys in double figures but the man of the night was our young big man (Mike Holloway (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick )). Ten-for-ten is crazy in your second college game.  If we keep working hard and keep teaching and learning this team will just continue to improve. The sky is the limit for this group - we just have to be patient."
 
Double-Double:  Sophomore Earl Potts Jr. (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding ) has excelled on the glass so far in 2015-16.  The Maryland native grabbed a career-high nine boards against #11/9 Villanova and then pulled down 11 rebounds against FDU Florham.  Potts earned his first collegiate double-double against the Devils as he finished with 14 points and 11 boards.  So far this season he is averaging 10 rebounds per game.
 
Perfect Night for Holloway:  Freshman Mike Holloway (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick ) scored 21 points against FDU Florham and he did it in just 16 minutes of action by being efficient.  He was a perfect 10-of-10 from the floor.  He added nine rebounds to finish just one board short of a double-double.
 
Dominating the Paint:  The FDU Knights dominated the FDU Devils in the paint with a 78-22 scoring advantage.  The Knights also grabbed 48 rebounds in the contest.
