Men's Basketball Hosts Wagner on Saturday

The Knights are looking for their first NEC home victory of the season.

HACKENSACK, N.J. - The Faileigh Dickinson men's basketball team (7-9, 2-3 NEC) is hosting Northeast Conference foe Wagner (4-12, 2-3 NEC) at Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.  The men's game will be the second contest of a doubleheader that will also feature the FDU and Wagner women's basketball teams tipping off at 2 p.m.  Both games are available to watch live on NECFrontRow.com.

The Last Time Out: Mount St. Mary's opened the game with strong shooting and jumped out to a 26-11 lead 15 minutes into play. The Mountaineers finished the first half with a 33-15 advantage and scored the first two baskets of the second half to grab a 23-point lead. In the second half sophomore Malachi Nix (Evanston, Ill./Niles North) and freshman Marques Townes (Edison, N.J./St. Joseph (Metuchen)) each scored 11 points to create a 22-6 run that cut the deficit to just seven points with 10:29 left to play, but Mount answered with a 9-0 run and then pulled away for the victory. Nix finished with a career-high 15 points and Townes collected a team best 17 in the game. Both players scored 15 points in the second half.
