FDU INTRAMURAL WOMEN'S 4-ON-4 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT RULES
1) Teams are made up of 4-6 players. The will be 4 players on the court. Subs can be made after a whistle or made basket.
2) No Current FDU Basketball Players (Scholarship or Non-scholarship) are permitted to play in the tournament.
3) Schedule of Events:
Day 1 - Round Robin
Day 2 - Championship Game
4) All games are 10-minute games
5) There will be a running clock for the entire period. NO STOPPAGES AT ALL.
6) All baskets are 1pt or 2pt.
7) Winners take ball out. If your team scores, you retain possession.
8) Referee will make all the calls.
9) If foul called, team will get ball at the top of the key.
10) If foul is called and basket is scored, the basket will count if Referee deems continuation was good.
11) Take back line is the three-point line all the way around the court. Failure to check ball back to 3-point line will result in loss of possession.
12) Ball will be checked in at the top of the key.
13) Trash-talking and dunking are absolutely prohibited!
14) Technical Fouls: (GIVEN BY THE INTRAMURAL DIRECTOR - MUST READ!)
a) If a team gets 2 technical fouls, they will be eliminated from tourney.
b) Any rough play will not be tolerated and a double-tech will be issued immediately.
c) If there is any fighting, the tournament will be stopped immediately and will not be made up.
d) If you get thrown out of the tourney, you will
- Lose membership to the Fitness Center
- Will not be able to participate in Intramurals next semester
- Incident will be reported to the Dean of Students Office.
e) Technical Fouls are the following:
- Trash talking
- Throwing balls
- Excessive Fouling
- Rough Play
- Cursing or Screaming
- Dunking
