The Fairleigh Dickinson women's tennis team dropped its final match on its spring break trip over the weekend to Drake, 5-2, in Orlando, FL. The Bulldogs won two of three doubles matches to claim the doubles point, while winning four of six singles matches. The lone winners on the day for the Knights was junior Irina Dementyeva (Moscow, Russia/W 91) and freshman Manuela Leme (Varginha, Brazil/E.E. Antania Alves Cruz) in singles, and Dementyeva teamed with fellow classmate Elmine Botes (Heidelberg Gauteng, Rep. of South Africa/Hoer Volkskool and British International Distance College) at No. 1 doubles for the lone doubles victory.
The Knights are now 4-7 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday, March 23 when they travel to the Bronx, NY to take on Fordham. First-serve is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
