Inducted: May 18, 2001

Roy Danforth served as Fairleigh Dickinson's Director of Athletics from 1987-1994. Each year the Northeast Conference awards its Commissioner's Cup to the school, which fares best in the league's championship sports. During his eight-year tenure leading the department, Fairleigh Dickinson won a record six Commissioner's Cups.

Over that span Danforth saw numerous teams capture NEC Championships, including baseball, men's basketball, men's soccer, men's and women's track and field, volleyball and women's basketball. The men's basketball program also made an NCAA Tournament appearance in 1988 and a National Invitational Tournament appearance in 1991, while the men's soccer team captured back-to-back NCAA Tournament bids in 1988 and 1989.
