Michael T. Hennessy was a three-year member of the baseball team, from 1988 - 1990. He was selected to the 1988 New Jersey All-University First Team, and was a 1989 pre-season All-American selection by "Collegiate Baseball." He was a 1989 Second Team All-Northeast selection.
Player Statistics:
He finished his career with a .367 batting average, 132 hits, 116 runs, and 35 extra base hits, including 21 doubles and 7 home runs. His 53 career stolen bases rank 4th all-time and he also ranks 4th and 6th in single-season stolen bases with 30 and 24, respectively. As a rookie he helped the team to a 26-13 record and hit over .400 in the regular season to lead the team to the ECAC Metro Tournament. Lastly, he was ranked 12th in the nation in stolen bases that year.
