Fairleigh Dickinson University softball player, Megan Reiner, was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, announced Monday, March 19 by the league.
Reiner went 5-0 on the mound for the Knights, recording wins over Manhattan, Utah Valley, Cleveland State, Youngstown State and Columbia at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL last week.
Three of the five games for the California native were complete games, including a nine inning affair against Cleveland State, in which she enabled the Knights to take a 6-3 win.
She allowed only five runs, fanned 26 batters and compiled a 1.06 ERA over the week. The freshman improved to 7-0 on the season with an ERA of 1.29 through 48.2 innings pitched.
