One week into the season, Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer freshman Christa Waterman earned the Northeast Conference's first Rookie of the Week award for the 2018 season.

Waterman netted her first career goal as a Knight on Thursday in the season-opening victory over Marshall. The defender headed into the net a corner kick feed from fellow freshman Lea Egner in the 76th minute of a scoreless match, providing the difference maker in the Knights' first win of the season.
