Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer standout Connie Lewis was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday, Oct. 7.

Lewis controlled the pace of play in FDU's 3-2 victory over Mount St. Mary's at University Stadium on Friday. The freshman scored the Knights' first goal for a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute, making a beautiful run across the box and scored on a cross back to the net, using her left foot. Lewis later found teammate Esther Rochon for the game-winning goal in the 65th minute.
