At last weekend’s USTA Invitational in Flushing Meadows, NY, junior Yuri Gricheno went undefeated in the flight F singles bracket with four wins in a row to claim the individual title. Gricheno had a first-round win over Army’s Henry Jang-Milsten. He followed up two three-set wins in a row in the quarterfinals and semifinals before defeating Columbia’s Theodor Marin in the finals. 

In the Knights’ 5-2 win over Hofstra on Wednesday, Sept. 21, Gricheno won his No. 3 singles match against Jon Disley and teamed up with Marco Jemersic for a No. 2 doubles victory.
